Fundraising
is about building a partnership between two organizations who share the
same objectives whilst benefiting the community.
There are several Emergency Funds set up through which Trustees can consider supporting our charity.
If
you are a Trustee of an organisation or you know of anyone that might
be able to assist, please contact

The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance needs to find £5 million a year in order to run a 7 day, 365 day a year emergency service. We receive no lottery funding and rely almost entirely on donations from members of the public and monies given are utilized in the best possible way to serve the County.
Our aircraft carries a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, and is designed around the patients' major injury and illness needs. It important to note that we are always fully kitted out. Inevitably medicine advances and equipment changes with new techniques therefore we have established an Emergency Equipment Fund to meet that on-going need.
As well as their clinical ability our doctors and paramedics must also have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate safely in the aviation environment. All of this requires further highly specialist training and unfortunately this is not a static one-time process. Training must be continuous in order to maintain the exceptionally high levels of patient and aircraft safety that air ambulance work demands.
Helicopters
are very versatile machines, but sadly they are not the most fuel
efficient. Each one uses about 250 litres for every hour flown and since
our daily airborne time is over an hour for each of our two aircraft we
need to find the funds to buy just under 200,000 litres each year, or
£100,000 at current prices.Costs can be kept down by bulk purchase and we are fortunate to have a bulk tank at our Kent base that holds 20,000 litres.
