This year the Double 100 will again
take the cyclists on routes around the country lanes of Surrey, West and East
Sussex and Kent with a choice of 100 miles or
100km routes. Both routes start out from Dunsfold Park and head south on the B2133 on a
route that will take the cyclists along beautiful country lanes with only a very
few sections on A roads.
The route will head around Billingshurst, Southwater and on up to Handcross where the route will split. The 100 milers will then continue to Turners Hill, around the Weir Wood Reservoir, through parts of Ashdown Forest and on to Hartfield and into Kent. The second half will take the cyclists back west, through Lingfield around Horley to Newdigate and then on a beautiful route up for a final challenge to Holmbury St Mary in the Surrey Hills and Peaslake before dropping back down through Ewhurst, Cranleigh and back to Dunsfold Park.

For the 100km riders, the route will take them up to Pease Pottage from Handcross and then Faygate, Ruper and up to Newdigate where they join the other route back to Dunsfold Park.

There will be food stops at Southwater, Handcross, Dormansland and Newdigate. Unity support riders on motorbikes will continuously sweep the course to help any cyclist and marshals will be at key road crossing points.
In 2011, the Double 100 Cycle Challenge raised an amazing £21,269 so we would like to say a huge heart-felt thank you to everyone who took part and raised such an incredible sum of money. You can be assured that every penny of that money raised is going directly to provide a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service to the people of Kent, Surrey & Sussex.
We hope that many of you who did the 100km will this year try the 100 miles and all of you will be able to bring friends and colleagues with you to take part too.
