Nightrider 2017

Registration for Nightrider 2017 is open now!

For the first time, the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance has secured charity places in the Nightrider 2017. This unique cycle route is the perfect opportunity to ride past London's iconic landmarks, under the moonlight!

Event Information

10-11 June 2017

You have a choice of 2 routes – 100km and a 50km ride (routes maps from 2016 are shown as a guide below). Both routes are circular, starting and finishing at the Lee Valley VeloPark; the iconic Olympic Velodrome.

Cycle past Abbey Road Studios, along Embankment (try and spot the London Eye all lit up along the skyline!), past Big Ben, around Piccadilly Circus and across Tower Bridge (to name a few!). The route is fully signposted and the GPS of this will be available for you to download ahead of the event.

Classic Tours, the event organisers, provide full back up and support throughout the event. There are also regular break stops provided throughout the night. Your medal and a well deserved breakfast will be waiting for you when you cross that finish line!

Join a fantastic team of cyclists to explore the famous London landmarks at night time; a truly unique experience on behalf of the air ambulance!

How do I Get Involved?

To secure a charity place with us, please sign-up using our unique registration link below:

A charity place will cost £39 when you pledge to raise at least £175

The route has been designed to ensure busy road are avoided where possible; cycling in the city centre at night time will mean there is less traffic. However, there will be sections of the route that are busier than others, so please do ensure (before signing up) that you are confident cycling on the road. The entire route is street lit but no roads are closed for this event.

By cycling on behalf of the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, we will provide you with a fundraising pack, a logoed vest (to wear during training and on the night of the event!) and support to help you reach your fundraising target!

If you have any questions or queries about this event, please contact Lauren Elphick on 01622 833833 or laurene@kssairambulance.org.uk
