Hilda Mitchell - Volunteer

Hilda is one of the charity’s longest serving volunteers. It was an advert in the local paper that drew Hilda to give the gift of time to the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.

Hilda Mitchell

Hilda began her volunteering experience at a prison tea bar, which supported the air ambulance. She did this for many years and she now services over 50 charity collection boxes placed in pubs, clubs, shops and garages and she also attends local store collections. Hilda’s husband Roger also volunteers for the charity – they are both very passionate in all that they do!

Hilda says “I really enjoy my volunteer role within the charity. I have built strong relationships in the local community which I love as I am a people person. I enjoy raising money for this worthy cause and it has been a pleasure to be part of the development of this life-saving charity over the years.”

We are so grateful to Hilda, Roger and all our volunteers for giving us the gift of time and helping us in such a variety of ways - the support is hugely appreciated!
